I took my truck into autopro to get it diagnosed. It had a short somewhere and the short was preventing it from starting. I took it in to see exactly what was wrong with it.
I picked autopro because it was with in my 5 miles of free towing from AAA. I should've just sent it to my buddies shop in the first place but it was about 18 miles from my house.
Anyways, I took it in and they said I needed a new ignition switch, starter, solenoid, & I had a short somewhere. They quoted me $650 for all of the work.
I just happened to have replaced my starter and solenoid about 5 days earlier AND had it tested 2 days prior to taking it in. So I knew it was perfectly fine. After paying the $114 diagnostics fee I had it towed to my buddies work.
The ignition switch, the starter & the solenoid were perfectly fine. I had a short that needed to be fixed. It cost me $350 to fix the short at bucky's brake & muffler off pacific hwy.
Do NOT use Auto-pro. I highly recommend Bucky's brake and muffler off of pacific highway. The place doesn't have a single bad review and the manager Wally will work with YOUR budget and they're honest!
