The whole place smells like dirty animals and cat urine. I brought in my cat at 8 weeks of age for a worming and his first series of shots. I set up an appointment for the cat to be neutered a couple of months later. I told Dr Vago that my cat was a male on the first visit. When I called to set up the appointment for the neuter he said he thought the cat was female. I reminded him that no, it is a male. When I showed up for the neuter he said, oh you're here for your spaying...umm no for a neuter I said again this is a male cat! I had my cat wormed 3 times there and treated for an eye injury. I stopped taking my cat here because Dr Vago seemed increasingly more incompetent and acted almost senile and I did not trust him to take proper or decent care of my pet. I got a postcard for a checkup that had been used and reused and had my name pasted on it over three other peoples names/addresses. My cat is now 2 years old and I moved out of state, I needed my records to have him treated by the vet here. He would not release my records and was extremely rude and mean. I had the new vet call him after he hung up on me and he told the new vet I hadn't even been there in three years and he ""deactivated"" my records even though I have receipts dating just one year prior, plus my cat is only 2 yrs old, you do the math. I called back several times saying that all I needed was for him to put my records in an addressed stamped envelope that I would send him. He said I missed appointments and he wasn't obligated to do anything, and the new vet said he could tell he was lying because he kept saying different things and putting him on hold. My new vet said there is no reason that he should not have my records and was shocked and appalled at his behavior. A friend had a dog treated by Vago that never got better, a second opinion confirmed he wasn't getting proper care the dog soon after passed away, the damage had been done. Please keep your pets away from this man! Pros: no pros Cons: Unprofessional, Unethical, strange office hours, unsanitary office!
