It was a cold, rainy and windy night. We were meeting friends for dinner and since Thranh Do was very close to home we thought it was a good idea to try out their new location. Food was great and abundant - no problem there. But, we have serious issues about ""moderately"" priced restaurants charging $8 and up for a glass of wine. Almost always we will order wine with our dinner, but we cheapskates balk at ordering wine at these prices. We would have gladly ordered wine if it were in the $5/glass range, but $8 for pretty average wine is highway robbery. Would have liked to have sent them an email directly, but their website does not have a ""contact us"" option. Food was good - but service was not. Good waitress who was knowledgeable and well versed who offered suggestions on the menu - but we needed to actually get out of our seats and find someone to refill our water.
