Review content:
I'm not sure what the last reviewers ate, but I disagree on a few points with them. Let's start with the lobster, since that seems to be what Rudy's is known for. I've eaten lobster at various locales in the western hemisphere and Rudy's is very good, not the best, but very good. The back ""skin"" of a lobster, when cooked was, as always, a bit leathery, but the flavor was not bland or boring. The servings were ALL normally sized, starting with the chowder (a unique flavor, not too creamy), to the pasta which followed, right down to the baked potato. All equally good. As for the meat sauce on the pasta, well, it was a very good, authentic meat sauce, served in the Italian style as being a condiment complimenting the pasta rather than overwhelming it. My waiter was very attentive to service, not rushing me through the meal but allowing me a leisurely, relaxing pace to relish the denizen of the deep I chose for dinner. As to cost, I'm not sure what backwater area of the country one of the previous reviewers was from that they expect to get two, three course seafood dinners, one childrens meal, two glasses of wine and one cocktail for under a hundred bucks, but I've travelled over a lot of these United States and more than a few places in Mexico and abroad and that hasn't been my experience. Just the two dinners I would expect to pay about eighty USD, add in the alcohol and kids meal and you would easily be over $100.00. All in all I would choose this establishment again if I were in town and have NO reservations in recommending it to others, including family and friends. Pros: Food and service
