Review content:
Nordstrom has always maintained an outstanding reputation for quality customer service and, to some extent, this has justified their inflated prices. Recently, I purchased a coat and then chose to return it shortly thereafter. While the return transaction was pleasant and efficient enough, I returned home to discover that the clerk had botched the transaction and had actually charged me again for the coat! When I phoned the department the clerk simply stated that I would have to return once again to the store with my receipt and that she would take care of the error. Since I had to make a special trip down to Bellevue Square I would have expected a courteous apology. Instead, i stood at the counter while the clerk tediously justified her mistake by reciting several times over how this had never happened before.
