AWFUL! My dog was spayed 6 days prior and I put her in a boarding facility to stay overnight so that she would not aggravate her wound while I was out of town. At 5am I recieved a phone call that my dog was taken to Angel of Mercy vet clinic without my permission. While the clinic had me on the phone-they stated that my dogs wound had opened up and they were going to have to redo her sutures and it would cost about 400 dollars.(Keep in mind that the initial surgery for my dog to get spayed was 200 dollars) After rushing back into town to pick up my dog-I was charged $55.00 for the office visit, 20 dollars for them to sedate my dog, 25 dollars for them to ""clean"" her incision, 30 dollars to bandage her incision, 25 dollars because she stayed in the hospital for over 4 hours, 6 dollars for a biohazard waste disposal, and 22 dollars for antibiotics, and 16 dollars for an E-collar. This all added up to 200 dollars. When I actually saw my dog-she was FINE. I had no problem paying for the visit to check the wound and paying for the medication to make sure the wound did not get infected. Her wound was not open, and I payed more for them to clean it and wrap an ace bandage around her waist. They felt that this warranted sedating her. I called the office manager this afternoon to inquire about some of the charges and she was VERY rude and not at all willing to refund any of the money (even though I was not present to authorize any of the treatment) My dog was fine and in no danger and I had to pay these people 200 dollars. The office manager's name is Mary and by the end of our conversation she was yelling at me. I am very thankful that the clinic cared for my pet, however, I do believe that I was overcharged and I was not appreciative about how the office manager handled my concerns considering I was not there in person to authorize any of the treatment for my animal. Do not go to this place unless you want to drop a big chunk of change!!!!! I have taken other animals to the emergency vet hospital on Huebner and 1-10 and they were WONDERFUL.
