I have been a customer of Fordson Cleaners for over the past ten years, and have developed a friendly, cordial relationship with both the workers and the owner. As such, I was floored/dismayed when I picked up my dress recently and saw it had a straight-line gash in it. (As if ripped on a cleaners machine or something.) I asked to speak to the owner, and he adamantly denied responsibility. His immediate response, ever so blunt and uncouth, was unconscionable for a customer who has patronized his business for so long. Appalled, I told the owner I would never come back to his cleaners.
Folks, I do not post these comments here lightly. I was wronged by having a dress returned to me by Fordson Cleaners in a poor, unsatisfactory manner...ruined. I have no recourse but to air my poor experience with Fordson Cleaners here, so that you may be alerted to similar ways of how the owner of Fordson Cleaners conducts business.
Fellow customers of Dearborn/West Detroit, do yourself a favor and take your laundered, dry cleaning, and tailoring needs elsewhere. There are fine cleaners in Melvindale (Oakwood and Allen Rds.), Allen Park (on Allen Road), and in Dearborn (Monroe St.)
