Review content:
Stayed at the Skyline Hotel in October 2008 and could not have been more pleased. The accomodations were great....large rooms, very clean, excellent service. Only complaint was the AC/heating unit would make loud ""banging"" noises even when turned off. It was not constant, but did wake you from sleeping when the banging would occur. Put some ear plugs in and slept just fine! It was nice that the windows open to let fresh air in! The best part about the Skyline is the location. It is just a quick 10 minute walk to Time Square and all the action. I highly recommend lunch at the Italian bistro on the corner of 10th and 51st. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The City Lights diner on 10th is also great for a LARGE yet cheap breakfast, but not the nicest staff. The bellhop also recommended the Amish market a block or two up for a great deli sandwich. It is truly a grocery story, but has a great deli department with freshly made sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and even sushi. We wish we would have found it sooner! The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations on places to eat and things to see! They were also great about keeping our luggage when we arrive before check-in. Pros: Great location, helpful staff
