Review content:
Grandview Funeral Home handled both of my parents services, approximately three years apart. The building was decorated nicely, with plenty of room for mourners and family. I must say that the body preparation of each of my parents was expertly done, and they both looked as though they were sleeping. The chapel is a large room with plenty of seating, and I noticed also had a screen with media equipment, although we did not incorporate that in either our services. The organ, piano, were in an adjoining room and the sound was beautiful. The three stars are because of poor customer service to the adjoining family. The grief counselor made the family wait to view my mother until the grandson arrived (who made the arrangements), only leaving us approximately ten (10) minutes to say our final goodbyes before the guests were allowed in the viewing room. I wanted to find out the arrangements for my mother's burial in another city so my family could make decisions as to who was traveling and called the funeral home, and had to leave a message with the grief counselor. There was no return call at all. (We found out later that Grandview indicated it only has a legal obligation to the person making the arrangements and not to any other famiy member.) And the third reason Grandview gets three stars is because my father was over one hour late to his own burial. If you want to take a chance on the customer service... Pros: Exceptional handling of the body, and calming atmosphere Cons: Poor people skills
