Businiess name:  The Broadway 50 50
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
As a live music venue, the Broadway 5050 is an abomination; one that proves that a bar doesn't have to be on the Riverwalk to be tacky and utterly soulless. The trendier-than-thou crowd cant seem to be bothered by the bands playing, and would rather compare cell phone features or watch sports on TV than pay attention to the music. The sound system isnt very good, and they apparently dont have anyone working there who can adjust the PA. The featured house drinks on the menu are overpriced and silly, and the decor is an ill-advised blend of 1950s diner and Ikea. I think the story is that the Broadway 5050 was a decent place that flooded out and was closed for two years. What has emerged from that Alamo Heights deluge is a cesspool where a privileged, shallow clientele prattles on vapidly with its collective back to the band. Pros: Bartenders are nice Cons: , Poor sound quality, Clientele
