Michael's Arts and Crafts on Overton Ridge is a one-stop shop for arts and crafts projects. The aisles are packed with wonderful crafts materials (I especially love the wood-working section, where I can buy unfinished letters to paint for children's rooms), and the store offers dozens of workshops to offer help with craft projects ranging from quilting and needlepoint to woodwork and floral arrangment. Michael's also offers age-appropriate craft classes for children. At the back of the store is a framing shop where you can get your works of art (or family photos) framed or set in beautiful shadow boxes, and there are often great discount framing coupons in the Sunday paper. At Christmas, Michael's is a wonderland of wintery craft ideas, Christmas trees and ornaments, and pretty gifts and wrapping paper.
