When I was 12 years old my love for gymnastics had me begging my mom please please please can I take gymnastics. We found SCMC signed up and there I was soo excited to be doing what I loved, I was in a group of great girls, some I am still friends with to this day. I will never forget the day Miss Sandi was spotting me on the balance beam. For those of you who dont know Miss Sandi is probably about 5 feet tall and has no business spotting anyone on a balance beam. Needless to say I was about 5'6"" and looking back at myself now I realize I was very very thin. I fell off the beam and Miss Sandi yelled at me ""GEEZ YOUR GONNA HAVE TO HELP ME HERE I CANT SUPPORT YOUR WEIGHT.""
