Last week, we awoke to the dreaded blue screen on our work laptop. Being self-employed in the current economy, we were instantly in a panic to fix the problem as soon as possible. I ran to Geek Squad at Best Buy & waited for them to open in order to try to recover the much-needed time sensitive data. We were devastated to hear their diagnosis: nothing can be done -- hard drive failure. They said our only option would be to mail the hard drive to their off-site office for further inspection with a minimum turnaround of 5-7 days. This was not an option for us as we needed the data immediately! And he even said, most people who pay to send it off don't get anything back anyway. I was turned away with
