If I could give less than 1 star, I would!
In July of 2010 I went to them for 5 implants and have had nothing but problems ever since. I already paid them $20K, but I still have no teeth and only 3 implants.
The 5 impIants failed because I got an infection which they didn't catch in time. 3 of the implants were replaced, but they also failed, even though I waited six months to allow healing before the implants were redone.
Then they told me they would have to extract another tooth to bridge the missing implants! It was over a month before they could extract another tooth. The new implant that was placed throbbed for weeks. I took antibiotics, but they did not help. Also, during the last extraction/implant part of my bone moved and is now sharp and pushing against the front of my gum. It is very painful. They tried to tell me that protruding bone was 'always there', but that is total B*S*.
In addition to all this, the doctors are never in the same office until 2 weeks later. So, if you have a problem that needs immediate care you have to travel to another office. When I was on painkillers I couldn't drive, so I wound up having to pay $90 to take a cab round-trip to Valley Stream. And then sometimes they can't even do anything to help you, because your file is now in the other office!
Also, although they give you an emergency phone number, no one EVER answers that phone. It is just a cell phone they use as an answering machine. Yes, they will call you back in the evening, or the next day, but in an emergency that is just not good enough!!!!
As of my last visit to them, the 3 replacement implants also failed. I now have six missing teeth and only 3 viable implants. They told me they want to try a fourth time, but I have since been to 2 other doctors who say I do not have enough bone to do implants anymore. Now I will probably have to get a denture, so I have asked for money back for the work that was not done (permanent crowns, failed implants, veneers) so I can proceed with a denture. Instead of giving my money back, they are now claiming they have to charge me MORE than the original contract called for because I'm not having the rest of the work done by them!
I am totally convinced that they are ripping me off and I will never get any satisfaction. I am also convinced that they have caused a serious bone problem, according to other physicians I have seen. Here I am a year and a half later and I still have no teeth and nothing but pain for $20K!!!!!! Plus it will cost me even more now to rectify the problems they caused.
