Review content:
I recently took my mother out to her pick--Lanning's. She did not make a reservation so I called on the way. I was told that there was a spot available in the piano room which is near the bar. I indicated that I would prefer to be in the main dining room. It was mom's birthday and I wanted it to be special for her. We arrived and I was told a table opened in the dining room. We sat ordered appetizers, dinner, dessert and coffee. Serivce was slow but comfortable. After dessert and as we enjoyed our coffee, I was approached and asked to leave. I was told that we were "accomodated" for an 1.5 hrs. and that we needed to move to the bar. I paid the $100 bill and left without saying much. I did not want to ruin my mon's birthday any further. After I dropped my mom off at home, I called outraged to speak to the manager, I was told I was speaking to the owner and that he stood behind the decision to ask us to leave it was his opinion that we stayed long enough. I did not know the table was booked with reservations and thought it was incredibly rude to ask us to leave. I expressed my outrage and the owner felt it was appropriate to ask us to leave. I will never return. Places like this need not be in business.
