Review content:
my wife and I and our two kids (9 and 7) entered the restaurant hoping for a good meal. We stood at the entrance right in front of the greeter who was standing there with the manager. neither one cared to look at us let alone greet us. this went on for an embarassing couple of minutes, no eye contact, no recognition whatsoever that we were standing there less than 3 feet from them. a white family came behind us and immediately was greeted (the young woman cooly went around us) and asked if they had a reservation. when we protested mildly the manager explained that they were taking care of "our reservations". not sure if there was a sign on my forehead saying "this guy has no reservation" but I was never asked that question. So, humiliated, we decided to leave, the manager at that point offered that if we wanted we could wait for "uh...45 mns to an hour if someone cancelled their reservation". i have experienced this kind of treatment in lesser rated restaurants but never expected to see it at Villa Romana. Shame on you Villa Romana, shame on you. Pros: nice setting, attractive on the outside Cons: rude and hostile to black family
