This was the first Mexican restaurant in LA that made an impression on me. Dark red leather booths with tiled awnings overhead. Dark and fabulous. It's a great place for a date. Definitely calls for a margarita- they'll literally on fire in the evenings. Live Mariachi bands on the weekends, expect to wait a while at the bar, which is a bit small (the restaurant is where its at). They serve the standard tasty Mexican fare, nothing too inventive. I recommend the Mole! Parking in rear if you're lucky.
