I have taken my vehicle to Eides a few times for oil changes, and I was happy. The price is right and they seemed to do the work right. They also do free checks on the vehicle which is great if you don't keep on eye on things yourself. I recently brought my vehicle in for an oil change, bringing my own synthetic oil and filter like normal. All seemed well until I drove out from my garage the next morning and I noticed a large puddle of oil under the engine. I assumed they didn't get the drain plug tight enough and used it the next couple days. When I got time I got under the vehicle and prepared to tighten the drain plug. It was NOT EVEN FINGER TIGHT. I turned it almost a complete turn with my fingers before I needed the wrench. No wonder there was a lake of oil under the engine! The drain plug easily could have backed out over time, draining all my oil and ruining my engine in minutes. Not only this, but the cap from the oil cap was left on the fender under the hood, and the remaining oil (uses only 4 quarts of the 5 quart jug) was not put back in the vehicle. Where did that oil go? Well they greatly overfilled the engine, which is worse than you may think. Even after it had leaked out for a few days all over my garage floor it was STILL 3/4" of an inch above the full line on the dipstick. There needs to be some checking of work guys! You can't release a vehicle to it's owner without double checking things. Clearly someone didn't give a damn if there was a cap left, it was overfilled, the drain plug not tight, and my extra oil wasn't put back in the vehicle. SO I called as soon as I crawled out from under my vehicle. The service tech offered me a free oil change. No thanks. I was not calling for compensation anyway. I'm calling to alert you that you have an employee not doing his damn work! The guys in charge of the intake of vehicles are great. Jamie is excellent. Whoever does the work is not. Whoever I talked to offered me a free quart of oil. I'll be in for that..
