Businiess name:  In Other Words Women's Books and Resources
Review by:  Tally C.
Review content:
For a women's studies class whose curriculum I designed, I decided to order all the textbooks from In Other Words for a variety of reasons; not the least of which was to support a fantastic (NON-PROFIT!) local bookshop, instead of the university's bookstore, which is owned by B&N. The prices at In Other Words were a lot better and the folks sent a representative with enough books for all the students to class on the first day of school (thereby eliminating a trip to the bookstore for the students). The staff here is great--so knowledgeable and friendly. Many are volunteers and are active in other social justice causes in the community. IOW is a wonderful place to go to learn about such causes. They stock books by women who don't get much--or any--shelf space at other stores. Parking is a bit tough because of the location (Hawthorne Blvd) but don't let that stop you. Come out and support a very good cause.
