I'm glad I came in a took a chance for myself after reading some of these dated reviews. The club is GREAT! There IS a full time cleaning staff that is constantly going around and cleaning or restocking paper towels and cleaner. There is a full time security guard that even offered to walk us to our car when it was dark outside. I'm familiar with gym equipment, having had fitness classes in high school and college, but when I did have a question about a certain muscle group, the Manager happily helped me out and answered the questions I had.
I've been a member to a few other health clubs in other cities that I have lived in but NONE have come close to how great of a club the New Orleans Athletic Club is. They have over 40 classes that are free for all members, enough cardio and weight machines to accommodate members even during the pre and post work rushes. For someone with a budget, this club doesn't break the bank. I get what I pay for and I'm happy with that. The other members are very respectful and nice. It's easy to meet and make new friends here. All in all, there is nothing to complain about this facility. There are other gyms in New Orleans, but none that offer the kind of service that I have gotten here at this club. You get what you pay for here.
It is a 12 month agreement, but they let me freeze my account for 6 months for no charge when I got too busy with work. Now that I'm back to working out here again I feel like I'm back home.
