Businiess name:  Friday Flicks

Every Friday night (weather permitting) July through August, a classic family friendly movie will be shown on the New Haven Green. This is an occasion for many folks to spread out their picnic blankets for an evening of fun that's more exciting than staying in and renting a movie. Showings start sometime after 8pm, whenever it's deemed dark enough, but I recommend arriving earlier so you can stake your claim to some prime blanket real estate. If you're more interested in hanging out and chatting through the movie, no one will be offended if you stick to the back - most folks are very friendly at these types of events. Just remember to be courteous! Note: If you are of legal age and don't become rowdy, no one will bother you if you bring beer and/or wine. Just please remember to clean up after yourself! Don't feel like packing a picnic? Grab take out from one of the great restaurants nearby. For 2005: July 8 - West Side Story July 15 - North by Northwest July 22 - the Proud Family Movie July 29 - Singin' in the Rain August 5 - a collection of short animated films August 12 - Casablanca August 19 - The Wizard of Oz
