First of all, Dakota County Libraries and St Paul public libraries offer FREE PASSES to the Children's museum! They are passes good for 6 people that you CHECK OUT. (Anyone can get a library card). They have a limited number available, so call and if they have one, they will hold it for 2 hours for you. Best day is Monday or Tuesday to check and they are good for 7 days! You turn it in at the museum and they mail it back to the library! Now about the Children's museum! Aside from the cost (which now you don't have to worry about), it is a fabulous place to visit! They have tons of activities for the kids! They offer story times, activities, and they change their main areas periodically. There is a section on the top level that is mostly a play area for smaller children. You can easily spend several hours there without the kids getting bored! There are so many activities for them to do. It is good for kids of all ages. The only drawback is the location (downtown St Paul). They have a parking ramp, and museum guests can park for $1.00 for like 3 hours. (Make sure it hasn't changed before going). If you can get the free passes, it is definitely worth going! They also have a free family day once Sunday per month where admission is free. It gets pretty crowded, but hey, its free!
