Review content:
When my husband and I shopped around for schools for our little ones, we were referred to KinderCare by many of our friends. I'll tell you this much- regardless of where you put your child, the BRAND NAME doesn't matter; it's the people. If you have a good director/owner, the rest should fall into place. If you visit KinderCare as for Revi, she's the Director. She is amazing. Helped us transition our son and assured us he would be fine! She emails up pictures of him smiling, and I never worry during the day- I know he's happy, loved, and cared for. Beyond the nurturing environment, expect this to be a "real school." They have curriculum in every classroom, they do projects even with the babies, and they send home daily communication so that you know what exactly is going on. They got my daughter to completely potty train, and I know they provide much structure for her. Great bonus that all the meals are provided, so you don't have to pack lunches. You definitely get what you pay for. KinderCare is by no means cheap, but you see the value from the second you walk in. They're just different from the other places, and we visited 7 other daycares/schools/home care options before selecting KinderCare. They have weekly (and sometimes daily) emails, newsletter, calendar, events including family events so grandparents and friend can come; it's run as a learning center- not a daycare. My children's teachers are fantastic. They're always honest, approachable, they partner with you, and they're all-around wonderful people. Many are degreed, certified, and my son's current teacher is working on her Master's Degree. We have been at KinderCare for 2 years and have seen the same teachers- no revolving door here since we've been here (2009). As two working parents- both in NYC- knowing my children are happy, engaged, loved, taught, and are kept safe and nurtured is worth every penny!
