This liquor store down the street from the Intelsat building is where all the embassies shop for their liquor. The staff is very knowledgeable and able to suggest pairings for any meal. The real bargain and what makes it worth a trip across town are the items in the deli counter. The rosemary ham is delicious. The smoked fish is yum. They have a bunch of cheeses, they don't carry the really obscure brands. They do stock a lot of cheese though. Friendly, efficient staff. Sometimes for the fourth of July this shop will stock the Hebrew National brand hot dogs. They are really, really good and hard to find in Washington. Also, this shop advertises in the food section of the Washington Post. You can see what's on sale in the Wednesday paper. They have some good deals. Parking is at a premium. Well worth it.
