We left our American Bulldog at the PetHotel at Petsmart in Sunset Valley on a couple of occassions recently b/c we were getting married & had to be out of town for showers, wedding & honeymoon. We had a wedding shower out of town on April 19th, so we left him at the PetHotel for the weekend. He was returned to us with ticks (red ones). He is an inside dog and has never had ticks in his life. We called to make the management aware of the situation and all they said was sorry. We thought we would give them another chance (maybe they had fixed the problem), so we left him with them for 9 days during our honeymoon. Once again, he was returned to us COVERED with TICKS! They were all over our entire house by the end of the day we returned! We called the management & they said basically that they have a tick screening process...but we are well aware that they don't, b/c if so they would have known he came there with no ticks and left with MANY. We spent hundreds of dollars in treatments for our dog & our home! Management did nothing to take responsibility for the problem. We spent several hundred dollars t the PetHotel and hundreds more b/c of it. We will never leave our dog there again!!
