Today I was at Heat Salon for the first time. I had an appointment at 11:00 am. We talked for a good 30 minutes before she started to make certain we both understood what I wanted in a cut and color. When I arrived, I had blond hair with highlights and solid white-ish blond bangs. I told her I wanted almost solid white blond with a little solid dark just in the back along the bottom. At 2:00 pm (yes, 3 hours later) she was shampooing me. I was already an hour late picking up my daughter, so I told her she did not have to style it, I would do it at home. To my surprise, I looked at myself in the rear view mirror of my car as I was leaving and discovered my bangs were orange and the rest of my hair was a dark reddish-brown. Not at all what we discussed for 30 minutes before she started. My 15 year old son was with me during this time and is my witness to the conversation I had with Jaylana. He even said that she colored it almost opposite to what I asked for. I am naturally a dishwater blond, so you can imagine my shock when I saw how dark my hair was. To add insult to injury, the right side of my hair is an inch longer than the left side. The price for my visit was $180 and now I have to pay someone else to fix it! Grrrrr...... I am very disappointed in my experience, as I have heard good things about Heat in the past. What's worse than orange hair for $180??? Pros: Nice location downtown Cons: Stylists do NOT LISTEN!
