There is something you should know about me. i am a closet "fix-a-holic". that is, one of those persons who loves do it yourself projects and fix it challenges around the house. So when I decided after 15 years that I wanted new hardware for my kitchen cupboards I got down to business and began searching the hardware stores around town for "that perfect look". NAGLES was my first stop mostly becasue they are so conveniently located just off HWY1 in Iowa City on Gilbert Street. the parking lot is nice and big which is always a plus in my book. Serching troughout the store however was a pretty quick process. I know they aren't the big comercial hardware store kind but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the hardware they had on hand and a bit shocked at the price as well! Since I will need to replace between 25-30 handles I didn't want to spend a small fortune. After having little luck I happened on some of their unfinished furniture. Though the selection is small they seem to be built quite well and the man who helped me said they can order quite a few other pieces if I was interested. Though I did not purchase my handles there I will still somewhat impressed with the store and with the nice personnel who work there. Give it a try...they just may have what you need.
