As I stated to the manager I spoke with at the end of my dining experience: 1. The food was great. 2. The service was good. 3. The rules and regulations set by the business were deplorable! A. I was at the restaurant during Happy Hour(between 4 - 6:30 p.m.) B. I wasn't advised until the end of my dining experience that they have a rule that 'Happy Hour' prices ONLY APPLY to those seated at the Bar. C. I wasn't advised until the end of my dining experience that they have a rule that they allow only one discounted price for the bill. I was alone and had a coupon for a free appetizer with the order of an entrée. Thus, being at the restaurant during Happy Hour I assumed that I should get both the benefits for the appetizer and Happy Hour. D. The waiter wasn't able to rectify the situation, but was very gracious in getting the manager to come over. The manager didn't appear to be very understanding of my explanation of the situation and went to the back office to check with the General Manager, she said. Upon her return, she advised me that the GM verified her prior comments. I advised the manager that I was alone on business and that this was my first visit to her establishment and that since I wasn't advised of these rules, which are not printed anywhere on any sign or menu, to my knowledge at the establishment, they should accommodate my request. Since she was not receptive to my recommendation, I advised her that even though the food was good, that based upon her response I couldn't and wouldn't refer anyone to this establishment. First impressions count a lot concerning repeat business and referrals. My impression is, forget looking for the 'fine print', because it's not 'fine print'. It's 'invisible print'. They appear to make the rules up as they go
