The Suntrust Bank in Roanoke, VA should be closed by the banking industry. They keep wrong records. For the 3rd time in the past 6 months or so I received a letter telling me that I am overdrawn, but it is not true. I currently have $761 in my cking acct., and savings from which they are to transfer if they "think" that I am overdrawn. I have never been overdrawn. Living on SSDI, I keep very careful records of my banking transactions, as well as my bills. To top this all off, I am told that the President of the bank will not be available, again, to meet with me if I manage to drive in tomorrow (they will not settle this over the phone!) And because I have very bad headaches, and only recently returned to Roanoke, I cannot get in to see a Dr. very soon and I am out of medications. THE VERY IDEA OF A WORKABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PLAN SEEMS TO TOTALLY ELUDE THIS INSTITUTION! Which is why I do not understand why they continue to exist. Taking my money (I have autodeposit of my SSDI each month, and well as a 'helpng hand' auto-transfer from my Birth-Mom), and then misusing and losing it has to be illegal! I do not recommend this bank to anyone, and will soon be changing banks. If anyone is aware of an honest bank in the Roanoke area, I would appreciate knowing about it. Thanks. Cons: They are clearly taking my money!
