As a young African-American female in my 20s with a light complexion and dark hair, I was horrified when unsightly hair began to grow on my chest, chin and neck areas. My initial reaction was to pluck and shave, which essentially lead to the discoloration of my skin. As more dark spots and hair bumps appeared, I knew something had to be done.
After researching different hair removal techniques, I decided laser hair removal was the best route. However, reports of the laser burning individuals with darker complexions frightened me. Shortly after consulting with Dr. Shel, my apprehensions were put to ease by her professionalism and genuine demeanor. Furthermore, she was very flexible when offering specials and discounts.
I have seen a remarkable reduction of hair growth in all areas after only 80% of my treatments. My mother who has battled with unsightly hair growth for decades, followed suite and had great results as well.
Dr. Shels laser specialist, Maria, accommodated all of my needs and addressed any of my concerns. In addition, I recently attended an open house at their new center and it is worthy of royalty. The ambience promotes tranquility with calm colors, soothing music and multiple waterfalls. I would recommend the center to anyone looking to SAFELY enhance their beauty and health or correct problem areas!!!
