I haven’t been to Maggie’s in a few years…it was getting pretty bad. I found out it was under new ownership and decided to give it a chance. The scuttlebutt is that the new owners actually give a damn…so we stopped by to grab dinner, drinks and catch the Jazz game. All in all, we had a great time. There are T.V.'s everywhere and two projection screens that you can see from anywhere in the room. That gives Maggie's an edge up on the other sports bars in the area in my humble opinion. The food is typical bar food, but pretty good bar food. The nachos are huge and after I saw them, I had regrets not ordering them. The beer prices are pretty awesome and the beer selection is much better now. (Not everyone drinks Bud!!!). Our waitress was good and kept the beer and beverages coming.
We didn’t go in to shoot pool but the pool room is very cool and we will definitely give it a try. All in all, I was impressed with Maggie's and will be back.
