American Property Management is criminal.
I lived in an apartment for only a few months before leaving due to health issues caused by my poor living conditions. I was told upon moving in that the carpets had been cleaned, and they most definitely hadn't. I steamed the carpets myself, and it took four times before the water wasn't completely black. Something in the apartment was making me sick, and I complained to management about the carpets and was told that they wouldn't investigate it nor would they refund my deposit if I chose to move out because of it.
My windows were leaking, and my refrigerator was dripping water from rusty metal onto my food. It took a month before either were looked at, and neither of them were ever completely resolved.
The head manager of APM told me to write a letter stating my case and that he would consider refunding my money. I was optimistic at that point, until I was completely ignored. It's been three months since I moved out, and they have not returned my phone calls, responded to my letters, or acknowledged my situation when I've gone into the office in person.
APM is HORRIBLY unprofessional and will ignore any issue they don't want to deal with.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They will steal your money and waste your time.
