There is a lot of depth to the rock music section in this store that makes it truly a pleasure to browse here. There are listening stations available and you can listen to many of the Cd's stocked here. The prices can be reasonable when the Cd's are on sale. There is also a decent used section. Employees at Sonic Boom fit the prototype for the quintessential music store employee;underemployed people with a almost scary knowledge of rock music and its variants. In store performances take place at Sonic Boom on a regular basis and can be fun (and free) to attend. This store is very supportive of the local music scene. They also have a great website for those who live out of town.
