Hoven foods in the International District is a lot like many of the tiny stores that dot the ID—it has crowed shelves and super narrow aisles and more types and brands of soy sauce, oyster sauce and hot sauce than you can count on both hands and maybe your feet. What sets Hoven foods apart is they cater to Vegetarians. Vegans beware because vegetarian at Hoven foods sometimes includes fish and eggs. There’s a wide selection of frozen dim sum, fresh pressed five spice tofu and all the canned and jarred goods you could ever want.
