Businiess name:  Mack's Backs Paperbacks
Review by:  Michael M.
Review content:
Mack's Backs is a small, locally-run bookstore, and it still has a hippie heart. They buy and sell used books along with a substantial crop of new books. The fiction is well-chosen with a few gaps. The nonfiction is well-chosen, though there's not enough poetry for my liking (and it costs more than I wish it could). There's a whole second floor full of trashy science fiction paperbacks, including two shelves of Star Trek novels. It's really cute. There's also a basement where they hold occasional poetry readings and stock a gargantuan supply of less-popular fiction and nonfiction (the nonfiction usually wins down here). The books are pretty cheap (a few dollars), though I don't think prices are negotiable. When you're wandering Coventry, it's easy to miss this bookstore because it's got such a narrow front. Don't!
