Let me start of by saying that Gaylynn is an amazing colorist. My new stylist totally stayed with Gaylynn's color. I also understand that cutting curly hair (especially long, thick curly hair) is a specialization. Unfortunately, nobody at the salon specializes in cutting curly, long hair. Most of their clientele seemed to have straight, short hair. After a lot of frustration at my frizzies (even the anti-frizz, and other products, from there weren''t helping), I finally had to switch salons and see someone who specializes in long, curly hair. I learned that my hair was being cut in a classic way, instead of in a way that most flattered my curls. The frizz was partly because of my curls not falling right. I also learned that I needed to be using a shaping gel, in addition to an anti-frizz gel. Gaylynn never recommended this to me. That being said, Gaylnn is a master colorist and all of their stylists do great work on most hair types. I would just suggest more training in curly hair, bringing on a stylist who specializes in curly hair, or maybe politely referring curly haired clients to stylists elsewhere.
