I am not exactly sure of all the services that Custom Outdoors provides however I wanted to tell about our mailbox purchasing through them.. We recently built a new home in a subdivision where the owners got together and decided we would get matching mailboxes.. wrought iron, fancy ones.. so this company was chosen to replace the mailboxes.. I don't have a problem with the mailbox itself, it's beautiful and very high quality, installation was done correctly.. however, the price was quite steep.. we paid over $200 for our mailbox which to me is just ridiculous.. some of the homes in this subdivision share a post for the mail box, so it's one wrought iron post with two mailboxes attached and some homes that are on corner lots and such have the single post and single mailbox because they have no one to share with.. well what I didn't like is that everyone paid the same price.. I would have thought that either (A) the homes that shared one post got a discounted rate or (B) the homes that did not share a post got a more expensive rate.. for the homes that shared they only had to provide one post so why should each homeowner pay for a box and post.. I just didn't get this.. I didn't argue it too much or take it any further because our whole subdivision was getting the same mailbox and I didn't want to have a different one.. so we got it and it looks really nice, I just am not happy with how much we had to pay.
