Businiess name:  Lowell Hunt Wine Cafe
Review by:  Jennifer F.
Review content:
The Lowell-Hunt Cafe (located behind the Hollywood Hill School House) opened in the past year, and it's our favorite addition to the neighborhood. It has a small sign on Woodinville-Redmond Road that is somewhat difficult to see when driving by. However, it should not be missed! The cafe is open for coffee and lunch (Mon-Sat) and for dinner (Wed-Sat). They have an extensive wine list with numerous local varieties. Many wines are available by the glass, and there are good selections for a reasonable price. They recommend wine pairings with each entree as well. If you don't drink wine, still come for the dinner. The food is outstanding! The menu is simple - a daily soup, a few salads, a daily fish special, a daily pasta special and a handful of entrees. However, the quality is superior, and the the food is carefully presented. The warm chocolate gateau is our favorite dessert. The space is intimate with only 10 or so tables, plus outdoor seating in the summer. Reservations are a good idea on Fridays and Saturdays. Be careful if you plan to arrive close to closing. We came for dinner on a slow night about an hour before closing and discovered that the chef had already left for the evening! The waitress accommodated us with a hearty soup and salad, though.
