decent food, great bands

If you are looking to eat some Mexican food while sitting on a deck listening to a live band then try banana joes and margarita mamas. This place is especially good for people watchers because you are sitting over the courtyard at Channelside. The bands tend to be pretty good -- mostly cover bands. The food is your average Mexican chain restaurant fair. They do have tons of different margaritas that are in slurpee like dispensers. Beware that occasionally they do have cover charges if you go after ten or eleven.
