The first time I took this particular tour of Boise, I was thoroughly enthralled with my city, but as I went subsequent times with relatives and friends, it just wasn't the same. The first time was great, very informative and entertaining, but, obviously it gets repetitive after the first time. To make it short and simple, look into this if you are visiting Boise or new in town, but I wouldn't recommend multiple trips, they just lose their entertaiment value.

To be honest, I don't know what actually goes on at the depot. Yeah, there are train tracks, but I don't think anyone actually uses them. But, from what I've done up there, I love it. First off, I took a ton of senior pictures up there, and they were great. From an overlooking the city picture to many around the various rocks and ponds, they all looked great. We also went up there for prom. Another great photo op, another great memory. Regardless of what you do there, it's a great vantage point of Boise, and quite fun for free.

Other than Roaring Springs, this is the best water park in Boise. No, they don't have thrill rides or a wave pool, but they have significantly smaller crowds as well as a lot of room to run around. I've always liked their slides, and I'd much rather have fun in a smaller park than sit in lines at Roaring Springs. Overall, it's just a good family friendly water park and pool.

Let me set this up a bit before I begin. My uncle plays tuba for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, whom I've seen many times, so my expectations are rather lofty. That being said, The Boise Philharmonic is a great way to spend an evening. No, it's no CSO, but it is still top rate entertainment and reasonably affordable. I've only been a few times, but I've always enjoyed myself, and I'm more than happy to recommend this to anyone who loves symphony.

I frequent this restaurant, and I'm never disappointed. They have a huge menu, even if you're not in the mood for sushi. And you can usually get away with dinner for two well under forty dollars. They have a few draped off side rooms if you're in the mood for a more traditional sushi dining experience, as well as normal seating and a sushi bar. As a patron of all 3, I can assure you either is a great choice. Be sure to try the Fuji Mountain handroll, it's been my favorite for years.

There aren't many high points of this restaurant, but on the same token, there aren't many low points. It's just a fairly average chinese restaurant. Their menu is large enough for most people to find something they'll like, and the prices keep this in the casual dining niche. The service is usually fairly quick and courteous, but nothing to write home about. Don't expect the best, and you won't be disappointed. Average chinese food definitely has its place in my pallet.

Back in my youth, I was an avid BMX-er. Being that this shop was easily within riding distance, I spent a fair amount of time there. They have a good selection, but it's all overpriced stuff, and unless you catch them during a clearance sale, you can easily find cheaper prices elsewhere. On top of that, the majority of the staff is just mean. If you're under 25 or so, don't expect much respect. This may be a fairly common thing, but I just don't like being treated poorly when I'm spending my hard earned money. Anyway, avoid this if possible, it's not a great bike store.

I used to live about 5 minutes from this toy store, and after about 3 visits, I'm convinced I won't be darkening their doorway again. They have an ok selection, mostly models, RC stuff, all that, but they are consistently very overpriced. Not to mention pretty much everyone that works there is pretentious and just plain mean. If you need something desperately and can't find it anywhere else, go here. Otherwise, avoid it, it's just not a great place to go.

There's not too much to say about Zoo Boise other than the fact that it is a good zoo. It's a pretty big facility, so you can easily spend an afternoon there and not get bored. It's also fairly inexpensive, so you can go as a group, a date, whatever. I personally like the tiger exhibit when they're out. The reptiles are also cool. I did a sort of camp there years ago where we helped clean and maintain the zoo, and got to spend the night as payment. It was a blast. If they still have this, I would highly recommend it.

Dollar duds is exactly what it sounds like, a second hand clothing store where everything is a dollar. Anyone can have fun playing dress up with less than five bucks. Even if it's just buying a suit, parading around downtown, and promptly throwing it into the closet, never to be seen again. Great retro clothes, great everything, it's just a fun place to go.
