Maugus is a great diner to go to for breakfast in the area!!! We have been many times and have never been disappointed. The service is always good and the food is great diner food. This restaurant is in the middle of Wellesley and I was quite surprised at the quality of food and the price of meals. The quality is fantastic - very old-school (great!!). And the prices are even better than you can expect. They do offer lunch and dinners some nights, but have not had the chance to try them. They have a great selection in their menus and are willing to make changes as asked.

We went there for sandwiches and I didn't expect to get so much food! The prices are a tad high for the area, but worth it due to the size of the food. When I say high, I mean over $6 for a wrap, but they include chips in their prices, which is unheard of in Boston. They also have a decent looking salad bar, of which I don't know the price. They also have great breakfast sandwiches and pretty decent coffee.

Gada at Leeba Salon does a fantastic job threading and shaping eyebrows. Threading is much better than waxing because it does not pull on your skin like waxing. She finishes the shaping by plucking, just as in waxing. She works in both shops, on Summer Street and on India Street. The price is a tad bit higher, but well worth it to come out of the salon without bright red eyebrows.

Merchant's Wine is one of the best wine shops in Boston, if not the best. The staff is the most helpful I've ever seen. They consistently recommend the best wine for the occasion and/or meal. They all know their wines and are willing to work within your price range, whether it be on the high end or on the low end. They also have a pretty decent selection of cheeses and bread from Iggy's. This is by far my favorite wine store!

While the service is fine, the prices on wine is rather high. On most bottles of wine, I have found that the price is $2 - $3 more expensive than at other local stores. The shop itself is rather convenient and they have a decent selection of wines, beer and liquor. I'm not sure that their location can justify their higher prices, though.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I ventured into Dah Mee one night. The menu is quite extensive, offering Thai, Korean and Japanese food. They have a small but appealing Sushi bar as well. I've been back quite a few times now and have never been disappointed. Their sushi is always very fresh and delicious. The Korean menu is quite delightful as well. And you can't go wrong with the Pad Thai!

Power's is our choice when shopping for liquor and wine, especially wine. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on wine, scotch, whiskey, etc. They have wine tastings on Saturdays and Sundays, which are always fun to drop in on. Their prices are consistently average (not any higher than anywhere I've seen, and some are lower). When the owner is working, he is very helpful in picking out wines to pair with a meal or for a party. I have not yet been disappointed with his recommendations.

Debsan's is the only store that I know of that rents quarts of Benjamin Moore paint. This has saved us so much money during the renovation of our home. The quarts rent for $3 or $4 and you have them for as long as you need (usually only need them for a day or so). While you can buy the little paints of Benjamin Moore, the selection is not that great, but Debsan's has every Benjamin Moore color available. Being able to see the paint in the room is a huge advantage. We have a hard time with the little paint chips that are in every paint store/aisle, and the rent-a-quart is so helfpul in making the final decision on colors.

We ordered our new countertop and new kitchen floor through Alba at Tile Showcase. She was amazing to deal with. The prices were great, the services was impeccable, and the choices for tile and stone is quite vast. Alba was quite patient with us as we made a decision and changed it over and over again. She also had great ideas for color choices to go with what we decided on for countertop and floor. We'll be going back shortly to discuss a new den floor as well as the backsplash for the kitchen. Best part was that the prices were the same (if not a tad bit less) than Home Depot with much more choice.

I love this place! The prices are a tad high, but so worth it. They have great gift ideas for weddings, birthdays, new babies, etc. They have such fun stuff, especially for babies and brides. Their card selection is great as well. You can always find something very different and unique in this store, for all occasions. They have a huge selection of Vera Bradley, too. You are able to order any type of stationary/correspondence that you can imagine. They do not offer a discount as some other places do, but the service is impeccable.
