Alexis H carries a brand name that i love to shop for: Conrad C. This clothing line is Canadian and it is only sold in the US at a few places. Alexis H is one of them. This clothing stored is owned by 2 women who have been friends for over 25 years. They settle you in the dressing room and bring you differet styles and the sizes that you want. You tell them the occasion and type of clothing and they pamper you. Its a neat little store. They have other clothing besides the Conrad C line which are nice. Prices are a little on the expensive side, but its small botique that has to survive. Its not a chain store. And they only have a few sizes of most things. But its pretty nice.

I used to always go to unique Beauty Salon for a hair-cut and highlights. The lady who owns the salon, Rima, is very nice and friendly. She holds great conversation, and her customer service skills are excellent. There are a few times where I wanted her to trim my hair, and and she chopped a lot of it off. Also, I wanted her to do brown highlights in my hair, but, instead, she put blonde in my hair. Besides from these things, she alsways does a pretty good job. Also, the prices are pretty reasonable.

Wet Seal always has the latest styles and fashion. I can always find clothes and accessories that are stylish that do not kill my budget. The clothing that I do buy is also good quality for the price. I does not fall apart if I wash some garments. And things that are not sale are still reasonably priced. Great place to find some quirky styles too. I like this specific store too because it is larger than most so you can always find something cute

The staff at Wags is amazing. They know so much about dogs and genuinely love animals. I'm sure I've lengthened my dog's life by a couple years just by bringing him here. They give me advice on everything from grooming to nutrition. And the best part it, my dog loves coming here too! I think its a great place to leave my dog when I am out of town. Highly recommended to other pet owners. They take all other animals as well.

My friend and I walked walked into Cafe Rain Tree really expecting nothing. We were strolling along 9th Ave and wated to have breakfast. The wait here was not as long as some of the other cafes. The servers were friendly, gave us time to order even though there were people waiting. The food was brought to us in a timely manner. The breakfast was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but not gross either; just average. I did not care for the coffee though. It was very weak and kinda cold. Otherwise its a safe place to eat.

The receptionists are nice and courteous. Convenient hours for appointments are available Monday thru Saturday. Dr. Yap is very gentle, caring and patient. He exams my mouth thoroughly and shows me my teeth with the intra-oral camera. Then he discusses with me my oral health, oral hygiene and treatment needs/options. He uses BOTH the ultrasonic cleaning and hand instruments to clean my teeth and to make sure that he does a good job. Injections are virtually painless. I went to him when my dentist was on vacation. I was glad I did

I really was not too impressed with the Zen Beauty Spa on West Portal Avenue. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted and asked if you would like to have tea or coffee. I found that nice. When the lady did my mini facial, she would not stop talking. And her talking was incessant, non stop the whole entire time. The product that she used made my skin feel soft, but it was really nothing special. And the prices were a little high for the quality of work. Next time, if I want to pamper myself, I might as well do it somewhere thats comfortable for me. If I am going to pay that much for a facial, it will be with someone that can respect the mood.

I was not at all impressed with The West Portal Flower Shop. It was highly recommended to me by a friend that awore by the freshness of the flowers and the artistic arrangements. I really found nothing out of the ordinary. Yes, the flowers were fresh, but the arrangements were simple and not creative. And the prices were expensive for the type of arrangements offered. I think that if you are going to buy flowers at that ridiculous price, then go somewhere that deserves the price.

I went to Treat thinking it would be a typical Aveda spa.. you know really nice. But I was so disappointed. The technician gave me a nice massage, but that was all. The guy that cut my hair, Jonathon, was awful. He chopped my hair too much and he did not know how to flat iron. It was so frizzy. He was really "fake nice" too. He seemedvery distracted with the other hairstylists and clients. It was a truly awful experience. And they charge me such an outrageous price.. 130 dollars for a bad haircut. That is one place that I will never visit again. And I hope no one else does either. Unless you are looking for somewhere to mess up your hair and then overcharge you for doing it.

Even though this is a family owned restaurant and crepery, it really does not "feel like home". The atmosphere at Squat and Gobble is very chilly. The workers never greet you and barely make any eye contact when I ordered. The lady behind the counter looked very bored and wanted me to rush to my seat. I ordered a latte and they gave me a super sweet mocha which I kept because I did not want to be difficult. Then they messed up on my friend's order and were very rude when she wanted to change it. They argued with her for about 10 minutes before making a new one. This completely ruined our lunch so we asked for a refund. Horrible, Horrible experience. Bad service and gross food. The crepes are so small and never cooked right. If you want a good crepe, your best bet is try somewhere else. This is not the only crepery in town.
