Very Tastey

Friday, September 11, 2009
I didn't have to wait in line because my dear friend picked up takeout for me! I've never actually been to this store so I'm just rating the food that I enjoyed. I asked for a Matzo ball soup and sandwich. The Matzo ball soup (being takeout and all) came with two matzo balls. I was only expecting one. It was pretty tastey with lots of seasoning in it. So not your plain matzo ball . it was also a bit on the dense side. The chicken stock was full of carrots and celery and large chunks of chicken. Very hearty. My only complaint about it was that there was a top layer of chicken fat on my soup which made it a bit unappealing at first to eat. I dished it out with my spoon and drank the rest down to the last drop. My sandwich was good too. I believe it was pastrami. Lots of cheese my sandwich - it looks like a couple of slices at least - and lots of meat. Somehow they managed to melt the cheese of the sandwish without toasting the bread. Not entirely sure how they accomplished that. Great sandwich though - packed with good flavours.
