I agree that the food isn't quite as good as Cactus Cantina, but nevertheless is a good value. Decent-sized entrees run about $9-15, and the chips and salsa are almost a meal in themselves. It smelled a bit odd when I was there, but perhaps that was because we were seated in the corner near a closet.

I don't know how I never knew about this place until after I moved out of Georgetown. Their Swiss Honey Malt is to die for, and the prices are great! They have a variety of traditional and nontraditional flavors, as well as frozen yogurt and coffee drinks. While Thomas Sweet remains the place to go because of their mix-ins, if you just want a simple scoop of ice cream, try Max's.

I haven't ever left Skewers dissatisfied with my meal. They offer a variety of entrees, from huge salads to kebabs and yogurt dishes, running from $9-20. The appetizers are excellent, and perfect for groups to split. I recommend getting the hummus just for the bread that comes with it! Also, be sure to save room for dessert (the mango cheesecake is worth it!).
