I went to Tryst last Saturday night with a group of friends. It was a great place for hanging out, as the drinkers and non-drinkers were all satisfied with their options. The couches made for a comfy evening, although perhaps they prevented us from exploring more of Adams Morgan! The service was a little spotty, as sometimes it took our waiter a while to get back to us. I'm willing to blame that on the busy night, and go back there another day.

While it may get lost among all the restaurant options in Gallery Place/Chinatown, California Tortilla offers quick, cheap, satisfying fare. There are plenty of options for every kind of eater. I recommend the salads, as they are tasty and big enough for a meal. Service was fast, even during a busy lunchtime. Most of all, I'd go just for the napkins.

If you're looking for a meal in Trolley Square, the best option might be a main course at Cafe Verdi and then dessert at Temptations. The sandwiches here are decent, and the setting is cute, but the highlight is the ice cream. Whether you want a sundae or just a scoop, they'll have something to satisfy your sweet tooth. I'd also recommend getting a pretzal to go along with it.

While not the best sushi in town, it's good for a night in with friends. Allow time for delivery, which often takes about 45 minutes. The combos are good deals, and the edamame is worth a couple extra dollars. It's pretty much what you would expect from a place called "Sushi To Go." Not open on Sundays.

If you're starving and in the mood for pizza, try one of the other places in Georgetown. However, if you've got some time, Domino's may be a good choice. From my own experience as well as that of my friends, you've got a good chance of getting a discount because of their slow service.

I'll admit that, as many times as I've been to Booey's, I haven't experimented much with the menu. That's because the first sandwich I tried, the Manhatten, never gets old. They have plenty of options though, for sandwiches, wraps, and salads (the grilled chicken salad platter is a great choice, as well). Fast service and low prices make it a perfect option for lunch or dinner. There's also cheap beer available.

The best things about Philadelphia Cheesesteak Factory are that it's open until 4 AM on weekends and that they deliver. These cheesesteaks are worthy of the Philadelphia name, but they also offer lighter options like turkey and cheese subs and salads. For Georgetown students, it's often the end of a night out, or lunch the next day. Ordering that late at night can mean a bit of a wait, but it's worth it.

The first experience I had with Rocklands was at an event they catered. When I went to their restaurant, I expected the same tasty barbeque, and I wasn't disappointed. The pulled chicken sandwich is excellent, as are the cole slaw and baked beans. And be sure to have one of their cookies or brownies! Just be warned that the sandwiches may be smaller than expected, so consider getting a platter for an extra three dollars.
