We have went there for years now and its always GOOD. Great sangria as well!
Happt staff people and just A++ all around. The bathrooms are not very clean but thats the only minus.

They were GREAT when they frist open. We have been back 2 times in 09 and service was good but the appetizer was tough and the food was warm at best...dunno

I ordered a ground steak. These come with a salad and veggies, mashed potatoes and brown gravy with sauted onions and mushroom.
The "veggies " was canned corn and the little bowl it was in was 1/2 full. The "mashed potatoes" were not fresh. They had sat in a frig.at least overnight. Been scooped out with an ice cream scooper and covered with lukewarm slimy gravy. That IM sure was from a can or powder.. The meat was good quality I think and onions fried up well. But the slimey gravy was weird.
I couldnt eat it and asked for a take home bag. As soos as I got home it went into my garbage can outside!!
EWWWWWWW!
Hubby said his hamburger and fries were great. Leave it to me to get the S***.
I would say nada - dont go there!!

We went there and stayed in October when Jason's mom visited. The owner and manager are wonderful!

Lots of great food places to eat at. We got GREAT candied apples at the Rocky Mountain Candy Factory!

Well after living here for 2 years we went to Rubys Diner.
The place was very CLEAN ( thank goodness).
The food was great and lots of it.

One of the waitress' cleaned the booth off across from us. As u know they where short cute dresses.
Well she spread herself across the table and the booths,
My husband and I saw just about everything that was under that dress.
Actually Jason wasnt gonn aTURN his head and LooK but got a glance.He was too busy watching others reactions..LOL
Anyway ..
A thong and thigh high hosery was for our viewing pleasure. Where u could reach over and slap her on the butt.
All before we got out breakfast!!!!!!!!
And.. she didnt stop she cleaned each booth seat and then the table.
All of the men sitting behind us got the 'show' too.
Im sorry it was digusting.
If I want to see that I will go to Hooters or a strip club.

Beau Jos and I go way back to 1974. I moved to Idaho Springs becauue of a man I was involved with and that man still owns BJ to this day

Started by Beau and Jo Ann in the 70's and bought over by Chip Bair in 1973 and Chip still lives in the town and still runs Beau Jos to this day. You might catch him in there having a beer and eating his own mountain pie.
There are many good BJ's all over Colorado but the original one nestled in the Mountains of Idaho Springs is the BEST one.
Any kind of pizza you can imagine and a salad bar made out of 2 claw feet bathtubs..
All decorated in local mineing and mountain detail.
Its worth the quick drive out of Denver on I-70.

WOW! What a menu and all is from scratch!
Granola Pancakes to die for. Breakfast Burritos that would feed 2 people on 1 entree!
They are an A plus restaurant.
Its fun to see the locals too mingle with the tourist. Molly B's has the Mountain town touch.
Now we gotta try lunch........

We stayed in a cabin at Amberwood in 09/06 and my mother and father in law stayed in the Sunday house.
Both places were very very clean. They had microwaves- toasters coffeepots in each . Our cabin...

Both places were very very clean. They had microwaves- toasters coffeepots in each . Our cabin had a full kitchen. Amberwood is nestled in the pines on your way to Rocky Mountain National Forest. The owner is at the front desk at times and she is the sweetest lady! Matter of fact everyone that works there are genuinely warm.
If you ever want a quick get away for the weekend or want to come to Beautiful Colorado and the Rockies. Stay at Amberwood. We are gonna try to go back again next month,
And every summer to follow!!
