Fine small town movie house 12/8/2007

The Banning Fox exemplifies what is good about small towns. Where else may one buy a couple of tickets, one for a wife or husband, say, who is arriving later and have the ticket taker simply direct the spouse to the correct theater? And, without the late arrival having a ticket! Also, the owner, Mike, usually is there and is happy to visit with customers. He is an excellent model for his friendly employees. Prices for popcorn and other refreshments are reasonable, especially compared to movie theaters in nearby towns. Do I wish the Fox still had its single large screen with its waterfall curtain? For sure! But the theater's having 3 screens means it can stay competitive with those in neighboring towns. Bottom line? The San Gorgonio Pass is fortunate to have a movie house that presents first-run flicks, with ticket and refreshment prices that won't break the bank. On top of that, secure parking is plentiful, whether in the theater's lot or the surrounding streets. Steve more
