I really like the large selection of quilting fabrics. The prints are great. The prices are good for the better quality fabric you can get here.

Wide variety of fresh baked pastries from crossiants to collaches. Famous for their variety of flavors of collaches. Fresh breads also available. Will custom make pastries for pick up as well. Family owned and operated - definite home-baked!!

The LA Zoo is just as nice as San Diego, if not, perhaps a bit better. Very level zoo (San Diego is very hilly). Lots of natural habitat areas for the animals. Some of the animals are hard to see...
The LA Zoo is just as nice as San Diego, if not, perhaps a bit better. Very level zoo (San Diego is very hilly). Lots of natural habitat areas for the animals. Some of the animals are hard to see because their "cages" are similar to their wild living environments. All the animals seem to be in great health and happy. Great expo shows and interactions with the animals. Staff are very informative and truly enjoy their work. Tram service available. Easy to get to.

This is a great experience to take in after visiting the San Diego Zoo. This animal park is a HUGE outdoor facility that covers hundreds of acres. Very shaded walk ways which is nice as this is located in the desert, inland from San Diego about 30 minutes. The animals co-mingle in large "pastures" which are reminicent of their natural environments. Lots of great gift shops and areas to sit in the shade and enjoy watching the animals. The safari ride is available and definately worth every dollar! You take a ride in the back of a safari truck out with the rhinos, elephants, giraffes, camels, etc. Guaranteed to have a giraffe slobber on you!

The San Diego Zoo is world famous for it's research on animal preservation and habitat studies. The animals at the zoo are all in wonderful health and appear to be very happy in their enclosures. Animals are in "cages" which feature indoor and outdoor areas and are very natural in appearance to their wild habitats. Some animals are hard to see - but they are at least living how they would in the wild. This is a HUGE place with lots of big hills - so LOTS of steep walking. Very fun. Excellent caregivers who can answer most any questions.

Small location on a busy street. The building is old and I'm pretty sure it is not handicap friendly. The menu is very simplistic and is mostly just maid rite sandwiches (loose meat), fries, drinks. Offer a few other items. Family owned and operated. Young and friendly workers. It is clean, although old. The tables/chairs don't all match. :-) Fun glass top tables that people put their business cards under so you can see where people are from that have visited there. Off street parking.

They offer multiple houseware items on consignment. Quality items. I have found a few antique treasures as well! Nice selection of vintage paperback books as well. Few fabrics and linens as well. Own parking lot and easy to get to.

Most items are sold in bulk are appear to packaged by hand (such as it came bulk and things are hand labeled in plastic bags by the pound). Great place to get bulk items such as yeast, bread ingredients, candies, baking ingredients, etc. Cooler with fresh produce as well.

They offer not only the standard vanilla, but lots of fun flavors too. Shakes, cones, sundaes, etc. are offered. All are very tasty! The owner is usually on site.
