This is a must go for the dog lover and owner! The Sanford Dog Park is located on SR 17-92 in Sanford, FL near the historic district.
Prior to its inception, the park was a haven for hookers and druggies, now it's doggie heaven!
This large park is fenced in and home to quite a few large trees which allow for a great shaded area of fun. The park is covered in mulch and doggie bags are available for convenient clean up. There are several gates coming in and out of the park so that renegade dogs cannot zoom out onto the busy thoroughfair.
Overall this park is an innovator and creative participant in our community! Kudos to Parks and Rec for supporting the endeavor!
