They have a good selection of pool accessories, parts and toys and they provide water testing and can help diagnose your pool problems. Their prices are typical retail. We have not purchased a pool from them, but they have been around for a long time and have a good reputation for quality work.

The Chrysler Museum of Art has been committed to providing the Hampton Roads area with great quality art displays for a long time. They are best known for their glass collection. They are located in a beautiful building in downtown Norfolk with ample parking. They offer a children's summer camp program and have other interesting programs throughout the year and have a nice gift shop. A visit to this museum is a nice way to spend an afternoon and support the arts.

My husband always picks up our mulch from Carter's Country Corner. Their location and hours of operation are convenient and we have not been disappointed with the quality of their mulch. You can pick it up by the yard or have it delivered. They have a small garden area for seasonal plants and vegetables, but they tend to be a bit pricey. So, I go elsewhere for those things.

Fundamental Cheerleading and Gymnastics School was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I took her advice and switched. I was looking for a new gymnastics school since the one my daughter attended previously was very crowded and chaotic and the employees were sometimes rude or indifferent. This school is well located and popular, but at the same time caters to its clients. They have smaller student/teacher ratios and are concerned with providing quality instruction in a nice environment. Rates are comparable to other local gymnastic schools.

Bellamy Manor School is a great choice for early childhood education during the preschool years. My son went there and had a wonderful experience. The teachers are very qualified and are great with the kids. I felt they fully prepared my son for kindergarten.
The school itself is a freestanding brick building with individual classrooms and one large common room. There is a nice fenced in play area in the back.
When my son attended, Bellamy Manor was very popular and had a long waiting list. If this is still the case, I would suggest registering early.

Great Bridge Child Care has been in business forever, it seems. I have never heard any negative comments regarding them. They are located in a freestanding brick building with a large fenced-in playground. The playground has plenty of fun equipment to entertain children. And there is always lots of supervision by teachers. They provide quality childcare by qualified caregivers. Children seem very happy here.

I've worked quite a bit at Cedar Road Elementary as a substitute teacher. This is a well-run school. The principal seems very dedicated and competent and in control but also approachable--not at all intimidating.
The school is fairly new and modern. They have a nice media center and large computer lab. The teachers I've worked with or come in contact with seem wonderful.
There appears to be lots of school spirit at Cedar Road. Each morning they broadcast the morning announcements on classroom monitors. The announcements are done by 5th graders. They also allow 5th graders to help out in younger classrooms as assistants. I like this idea as it helps build leadership skills and confidence in these students. I wish more schools did this.
